BIBLICAL COUNSELING

My name is Stacey Williams and I'm a grateful believer in Jesus Christ. I am excited to say that I will be offering Biblical Counseling to our members through Crossroads Church! God put it on my heart several years ago to begin the process and it wasn’t until last year that I decided that it was time. I completed my GO certification in Church-Based Counseling from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in October of 2024. I am a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors which will provide me with continuing education requirements to keep me up to date with new research and resources. I am considered a Lay Counselor.

My goals include offering my services to couples, women, and children. It is to care for and empower individuals that may be walking through a new or difficult season(s) of life. Lay Counselors provide guidance and advice to individuals, couples, families, and groups who are dealing with various life challenges and mental health issues such as stress, anxiety, depression, grief, marital problems, addictions, abuse, and more from a Christian perspective.
My responsibilities include providing counseling services to individuals, couples, and families based on Bible teachings to provide guidance and support. I will help counselees understand and navigate life challenges using biblical wisdom. We will facilitate healing and growth through prayer and spiritual practices. I will conduct counseling sessions in a variety of formats, including individual, group, or family sessions.

Most of all, I will maintain confidentiality in compliance with ethical standards and legal requirements. What is shared with me, stays with me. The only exception is when someone threatens to injure themselves or others. My goal is for this to be a safe place!
If I feel that I cannot help you, I will refer you to other resources or services, such as psychiatrists or community services, when necessary.

This is a service that I am offering through the church, so there is no charge. If you feel like donating to the counseling ministry, that would be greatly appreciated, but is not mandatory.
If you decide you would like to begin counseling, please contact me and we will set up a date and time. Guidelines will be covered in our initial meeting. I look forward to serving Crossroads Church and our community!
