Crossroads Church launched on December 3, 2017 under the pastoral leadership of Rev. Billy Roy. We are a church plant with the NC Baptist State Convention and a part of the Columbus Baptist Association. We exist to transform our community with the Gospel message of Jesus Christ by making disciples and meeting the needs of our community.​

We began this journey by holding worship services at Edgewood Elementary School in their multipurpose room. It was a special season for our church family. When COVID-19 hit, we were no longer able to gather there--but God continued to lead us forward.​

During that difficult season, we were determined to keep worshiping together-no matter what. We met outside at ponds, under large trees, at the Columbus Baptist Association- anywhere we could gather safely. Those moments strengthened us and brought us closer as a church family. ​

 

Eventually, we were blessed with the opportunity to gather at the Ambassador Camp in Lake Waccamaw. For about a year, we worshiped outdoors on the porch-rain or shine- surrounded by God's creation and the faithful hearts of our church family. ​

 

From there, God opened the door for us to worship at the Columbus County Farmer's Market. We were there for the past three years. Families brought their lawn chairs, and we worshiped outside- through the heat, the cold, and everything in between. It wasn't always easy,  but it was a sweet time focused on God's will for Crossroads Church. ​

 

God led us to 87 Southwood, where we obtained the property and began the building process. It took time-laying the foundation, preparing the space, the parking lot-but every step was guided by faith and prayer, with the goal of creating a place to worship the Lord. On Sunday, July 13, 2025, we held our first service in the building- a day we will never forget and a testimony to God's faithfulness!Our Dedication Service is on Sunday, August 17, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. We hope you will join us in this glorious celebration!
